1948
Founded in 1948, our company began with the collection and processing of waste, operating under various names including The Enterprise for the Collection of Materials (I.C.M.). and County Enterprise for the Recovery and Valorization of Recyclable Materials (I.J.R.V.M.R.).
1994
The company was fully privatized and became REMAT BRAȘOV S.A. Thanks to the vast accumulated experience and the qualified staff, the activity has continuously developed in the field of superior utilization of recyclable industial waste.
1996
As a founding member of the Remat Employer and Professional Organization (O.P.P. Remat - created to represent the interests of all commercial companies involved in recycling in Romania ), REMAT BRAȘOV S.A. became the first Romanian company affiliated with the Bureau of International Recycling (B.I.R.).
1997

It is the year in which Remat Brașov S.A. becomes a shareholder in Remat S.A. companies. Bacau and Remat Mureș S.A., out of the desire to expand its activity in other areas of the country.

2000

The company expands its activity in the southern part of the country by taking over the majority stake of a private company in the field of recycling, based in Craiova.

2002

Following the horizontal diversification of the activity, Remat Brasov S.A. establishes a new work point in Brașov, Calea Feldioarei, no. 24, in order to carry out trade in iron and steel materials and constuction materials.

2003

Remat Brașov S.A. becomes the main shareholder of Remat Covasna S.A., aiming to create an important recycling hub in the central area of Romania.

2004

The partnership with Ecorom Ambalaje, Remat Brasov S.A. ends. becoming an important link in ensuring the traceability of packaging waste.

2006

It is the year in which Remat Brasov S.A. acquire the permissions:

  • ISO 9001:2008 on Quality Management System
  • ISO 14001:2005 on the Environmental Management System
  • OHSAS 18001:2007 on Occupational Health and Safety Management System
2007

Remat Brasov S.A. becomes the main authorized operator in Brașov and neighboring counties for collection, transport and temporary storage services of hazardous industial waste, with the aim of widening the assortment of collected waste.

2010

Responding to market requirements REMAT BRAȘOV S.A. offers partners for the first time the opportunity to manage the entire range of waste generated, through integrated waste management, with a full range of services for collection, transport, recovery or elimination of waste, ensuring at the same time the traceability of their reintroduction into the circuit of secondary raw materials.

Today, REMAT BRAȘOV S.A. stands as the largest company active in the field of recycling, with fully Romanian private capital, being present through its work points in the main counties in the country: Brașov, Bacău, Cluj, Covasna, Dolj, Mureș, Iași, Harghita and Sibiu. And the expansion continues.
